Our Commitment
Campus Talk is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all users. We strictly prohibit any form of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). We take strong measures to prevent, detect, and report any violations of this policy.
Age Requirements
Campus Talk is designed exclusively for university and college students. Users must be at least 17 years of age to create an account and use the App. We do not knowingly allow minors under 17 to register or use our services.
- During registration, users must confirm they meet the minimum age requirement
- Users must select a recognized university, which serves as an additional verification layer
- If we discover an underage user, their account will be immediately suspended and their data deleted
Zero Tolerance Policy
We enforce a zero-tolerance policy toward:
- Sexual content involving minors in any form
- Sexual solicitation, grooming, or exploitation of minors
- Sharing, requesting, or distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
- Any behavior that exploits, endangers, or harms children
- Content that sexualizes or objectifies minors
- Arranging or facilitating real-world contact with minors for exploitative purposes
Prevention & Enforcement Measures
We employ the following measures to protect children:
- Age Verification: University selection during registration acts as an age gate
- User Reporting: In-app tools allow any user to report suspicious or harmful content and behavior
- Content Moderation: Active review processes to identify and remove violating content
- Immediate Action: Accounts found violating this policy are immediately suspended
- Law Enforcement Cooperation: We cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies and report confirmed CSAE content to relevant authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC)
Reporting Violations
If you encounter any content or behavior that violates our child safety policy, please report it immediately:
- In-App: Use the report button available on all posts, messages, and user profiles
- Email: Contact us at support@swapuzi.com with the subject line "Child Safety Report"
All reports are reviewed promptly and handled with the utmost seriousness and confidentiality. We aim to respond to child safety reports within 24 hours.
Actions We Take
When a violation is confirmed, we will:
- Immediately remove the offending content
- Permanently ban the offending user's account
- Preserve evidence for law enforcement
- Report the violation to relevant authorities and organizations
- Cooperate fully with any resulting investigation
Legal Compliance
We comply with all applicable child protection laws and regulations, including but not limited to:
- Kenya's Children Act and Sexual Offences Act
- Google Play's Families Policy and child safety requirements
- Applicable international laws regarding child exploitation
Education and Awareness
We believe in promoting a culture of safety. We encourage all users to:
- Report any suspicious activity immediately
- Be mindful of the content they share
- Familiarize themselves with our community guidelines
- Help us maintain a safe and respectful campus community
